The Apple is an artwork with a very deep meaning, it represents the temptation depicted with the woman next to the man as it is told in Genesis with Adam and Eve.
Observing the female figure with its sinuous and harmonious body shapes, it caresses the man's head with a double meaning: on the one hand it wraps the male head bringing it to itself and on the other it offers La Mela the fruit of sin.
The work is part of the artist's collection of Figurative Cubism. With its bright colors shaded by warm and cold tones with a thousand contrasts but always elegant and sinuous in the work, the artist represents the garden of Eden, but behind the fruit tree of Paradise you can glimpse a little devil who remembers the temptation, always lurking around the corner.
